Cattell 16 Factor Personality Test
Raymond Cattell was an influential personality researcher whose work began in the 1920s and continued for many decades. Using a statistical method called factor analysis, his research identified 16 primary traits underlying human personality.
Cattell developed the 16PF personality test to measure these traits. His later work also found that the 16 primary factors could be organized into broader dimensions that aligned with five-factor personality theory, commonly known as the Big Five.
